ABOUT US

At the David Morgan Music Trust, we believe that a young person’s financial circumstances should not be a barrier to them enjoying the vast benefits of music education. We provide financial support to enable children and young people in Bromsgrove to learn to sing, play musical instruments, and perform. We also support applications for children to enjoy live music experiences.

Our impact

In 2024-25 the David Morgan Music Trust has:

  • Enabled more children and young people to get involved with music by distributing nearly £30,000 in financial support

  • Assisted nine local schools in providing students with regular music lessons on instruments like the ukulele and violin, along with the purchase of musical instruments such as digital pianos and glockenspiels

  • Supported 36 students with individual private music lessons, outside of school

  • Continued to support free guitar, keyboard, vocal and drum lessons at The Hub in Bromsgrove, a project initiated by the Trustees of the David Morgan Music Trust

Parents share that the access to free music tuition has allowed a opportunity that they wouldn’t be able to afford, they feel this is a great program. Being able to offer free music provision for a range of instruments, helps build young people skills in music, support with developing confidence, especially when they perform in front of others.

Sarah, Trustee of the Hub Bromsgrove

Seeing the impact that our music provision has on the lives of the young people who access the provision makes it such a privilege to be involved with all that goes on. Being able to offer the opportunity of independent choice as to which instrument they learn makes the enthusiasm and commitment of each person go so much deeper. Through the time and patience that’s extended to the young people, the transformation in their self esteem and confidence is incredible.
