Anita joined our board of trustees around 2015. A vastly experienced former music teacher, Anita taught in schools across the Midlands. She joined North Bromsgrove High School as head of music, where she worked alongside fellow David Morgan Music Trust trustee, Steve Cowperthwaite.

Throughout her career, Anita witnessed first hand the enormous difference the David Morgan Music Trust made by helping to cover the cost of music tuition and donating instruments and equipment. When she retired from her role at North Bromsgrove High School, we invited her to become a trustee after recognising that she was aligned with our core value of making music accessible to all, not just those who can afford it.

Anita plays the violin and piano and is involved in local orchestras and music groups.  She is a long-term member of the Worcester Symphony Orchestra and continues to enjoy teaching music privately.

Anita and Steve also work together organising our Player’s Platform sessions, where young performers have the opportunity to take part in short, informal concerts.​
